In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2

Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14

Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:4-5

ABOUT US!

Free Will... So, who said it was free$ History shows it comes with a price and somebody pays the fare.

Is the world putting up with a different Gospel other than what Christ delivered? Maybe more importantly... are you?

"'Womxn': a word distinctly of our time: a nontraditional spelling for people whose gender identity doesn’t fit in the traditional boxes." How does this rate considering the universal and absolute gender statement Jesus made when asked about marriage and divorce?

"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female'. Matthew 19:4

20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,'for she was taken out of man." Genesis 2:20-23

I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except by Me.  John 14:6

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his  craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted — you may well put up with it! 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever" —  therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. Genesis 3:22-24

It's 2018... Is That Serpent who deceives the whole world still bringing his 'A' Game? Sure looks like it!

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"

And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" Genesis 3:1-3

What about this Tree of Life?

YOUR PLACE TOO!

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—

which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up.

I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Not Bringing Their 'A' Game

Free will, we often talk about it as if being sacrosanct. There ways  to erode or make ‘free will’ null and void, moog, or meaningless. One way is simply to take away free will by making everyone a robot. I am not a robot! Another is to totally remove choices from the menu of life. Of what value is free will without the choices to give it substance and/or life? It would be like saying you can have a car in any colour you want, think of it any colour at all! We only make cars in black. Or, we have cars in every conceivable colour but you can only have one that’s black. Hence the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You can have the fruits of any and every other tree, but not that one. The day you eat of it you will surely die. Notice this was only said to    Adam. How do we know? Eve hadn’t been created yet. Also the context, “God took the man… commanded the man” Genesis 2:15-17

 THE GOOD NEWS

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and  Satan, who deceives the whole world;

he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:9

Is there a 'Life' lesson for us?

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. Genesis 3:6

Was God's message not clear to Adam?

Was God's instruction to Adam too complicated to understand?

Did perhaps God not give Adam enough information to follow the instructions?

Did God not give Adam enough information to make an informed decision?

Did Eve not know the expectations regarding the Tree of Life?

When Adam ate of the fruit was he working under 'Happy wife..happy life?

Should Adam and Eve have held a referendum, majority rules?

Did the animals name man?

Should God have let them buy a few vowels or call a friend?

GOOD NEWS!

GENESIS 3:12

“Womxn” isn’t a typo. It’s a powerful, increasingly popular label, encompassing a broader range of gender identities than “woman” — or even older feminist terms such as “womyn.” Events such as January’s “Womxn’s March” in Seattle and “Womxn’s Energy Week” at Kirkland College have drawn attention to a word distinctly of our time: a nontraditional spelling for people whose gender identity doesn’t fit in the traditional   boxes. “Womxn” is one of a few similar lexical and social phenomena, including the adoption of “x” in naming LGBTQ and non-gender-binary people. The most well-known such term is “Latinx,” which can take the place of “Latina” or “Latino.” As Raquel Reichard wrote for Latina magazine, “Latinx, pronounced ‘La-teen-ex,’ includes the numerous people of Latin American descent whose gender identities fluctuate along different points of the spectrum, from agender or nonbinary to gender non-conforming genderqueer and genderfluid.” Ben Zimmer, language columnist for The Wall Street Journal, has noted many similar terms, such as “Chicanx,” “Xicanx,” and “Filipinx.” “Womxn” blends in with these terms as much as it stands out from standard spellings. The unpronounceable boldness of “womxn” is part of its appeal. Nita Harker, an assistant professor of sociology at Whatcom Community College in Bellington, Wash., and co-organizer of a “Womxn’s March” there, understands how the word “can come across as challenging and confusing.” Harker said, “I actually think the challenge — particularly that it is hard to pronounce in your mind as you read it, that it forces one to stop and think, that it is not just easy and nice and recognizable — is part of the point and the draw. To me it represents the complexity of gender.”

Romans 16:16

Go And Make Disciples Of All Nations

Matthew 28:19

THE WOMAN SAID

WELCOME HOME

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.             Revelation 2:7

Interesting that Adam and Eve could be naked and not ashamed, “Gen 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”, yet be clothed and be afraid, “Gen 3:10, So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." Why? Was it because God was some unknown ‘boogey man’? Hardly, Adam and God talked on a one to one basis for starters.

It was because Adam knew he had done God wrong. That kind of ‘afraid’ is the result of being ‘morally fearful’ for not having given over the reverence that is or was rightfully due’. They knew they had done ‘wrong’. Plain and simple. And that is the meaning and implication of the original language and intended meaning hear primarily.

To be sure there was also the fearful expectation of consequences         associated with disobedience and not fulfilling expectations. James 1:18, “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.” Talk about living on the ‘bubble’, sure, it didn’t take us long to burst that bubble…

With ‘promise’ comes responsibility and accountability. Failing to  voluntarily step up and take ownership of the former, we were involuntarily forced to take ownership of the latter. The ‘latter’ of success? Not...

And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground — trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…  The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
