For                                        Matthew 25:34-36

· I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,

· I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,

· I was a stranger and you invited me in,

· I needed clothes and you clothed me,

· I was sick and you looked after me,

· I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Another important aspect about making an inventory list is that once you start keeping legitimate track of what and how you spend your time. Once you do it, there’s less chance of going down the road of ’denial’. The first wall thrown up is to deny spending as much time doing ’stuff’, a person really doesn’t want to give up or stop doing. Watch those bricks go up fast and furious! I would also recommend that to lessen any ’denial’ tendency, that you sit down with somebody else as you are compile the list. Pick  someone who will tell you ’straight up’ and truthfully whether they see things the same way you do. Also, add to your ’accounting’ the possibility of going through a week doing just what you normally do. Try even a couple of typical weeks back to back if need be, making notes of just what you do-when and for how long. Sound like too much work? Well, in that case sounds like the perfect candidate for procrastination right?

Now, once you have some semblance of hopefully accurate data to work with, analyze it and start sorting and filtering out by     prioritizing.  One dilemma you may notice is that you already have a full plate and no room left for anything else. Well, to you it may seem that way. Truth is, it may be that you have to take some things off your plate to make room for the part of the menu that   pertains to the ‘seek first the kingdom’. That ‘course’ may require a change in ‘direction’. Be prepared to replace what’s on your plate with ‘quality’ instead of ‘quantity’. Can’t figure out where to begin? Sure you can. It’s not the where. It’s the when.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together

as is the manner of some, but encouraging one another so much the more…

ABOUT US!

BUT

LOSES HIS SOUL?

It’s not like there isn’t anything to do.

Just need to be of a mind to do it.

The first thing you should do is take an inventory or take stock of what you are doing with your time now. You have just as many hours in a day as the next person. And, each day is a new day! That means, there’s always a fresh start just around the corner no matter what you do or don’t do today. Careful with that however as there is a door which opens very quickly, is high and wide but leads you down a path to nowhere fast.

Signage on that door says,

P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-I-O-N.

· See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone,

· But always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

· Rejoice always,

· Pray without ceasing,

· In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

HOME AT LAST

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one   another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Procrastination

Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures. James 1:18

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen  Matthew 28:18-20

So, how do you make the most of your time,

because…?

A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Then He called His twelve disciples together… He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." And he went away sorrowfully for he was a man of great possessions

Luke 9:1-3; Matt 19:21

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.              1 Peter 2:11-12

Each 'denial' is just another brick

in a wall of procrastination

Then He called His twelve disciples together… He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. And He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." And he went away sorrowfully for he was a man of great possessions

Luke 9:1-3; Matt 19:21

The following is our priority in life, or as Christ meant it to be. Our goal is not first and foremost to be a doctor, a nurse, a pilot,  a teacher, pro athlete, a butcher, baker or candlestick maker, the best salesman ever, prime minister or president. neither is our first goal to make money, nor put a roof over our heads...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matt 5:16
