Matthew 7:1-3, Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what   judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

Statements and questions asked by Christ were designed and purposeful, to make you think.

Think of the power struggles!

IN HIS HEART

Considering how our 'modern' self-proclaimed ambassadors of Christ indulge themselves, live and travel, how do you think they compare to Mark 6:7-9

And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff — no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts —  but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

Are they ministers of Christ? — I speak as a fool — I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness —  28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches.

Matthew 7:22-23

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Address

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the   righteous, but sinners, to repentance."  Matthew 9:11-13

We set our path                               To the compass of scripture

The bible is God's                            Word and final authority

The church of the living God         Is the pillar and support of the truth

We are the churchChrist built       Jesus said,  " I will build My church "

Christ built                                        One church

He will return                                   For His church

Think! You call me Lord and Master and so I am. Yet look at what I’ve just done. What should this tell you about how we should treat each other or anybody?

Mark 2:8-12, (8) But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?  (9) Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise, take up your bed and walk'?  But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins" — He said to the paralytic, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."          (12) Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"

Considering the life, work and ministry of Jesus Christ, do you really believe these so-called Christian religious entities have Christ's blessing?

Charles E. Blake: This bishop reportedly makes $900,000 a year and lives in 10,000 square feet of Beverly Hills luxury ... while most of his congregation lives in the poor area of South Central Los Angeles.

John 13:12-13, So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?”

Think! Used here, ‘krino’– to decide mentally or judicially; to try, condemn, punish, to damn, sentence to, think. We are not the jury, judge and executioner. There are seven words in Greek covering diverse aspects of judging. This is one area/aspect we really have no business in.

Bienvenidos a la única iglesia

que Jesús construyó

Learn –  manthano: learn (in any way); learn, understand

Jesus is clearly telling his adversaries to ‘think’ when He admonishes them to ‘go and learn what this means’. Go and do what you need to do to understand not just what I’m saying, but what I have done. This is a new world  order which will turn the current one right side up.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some,

but encouraging one another so much the more…

Hebrews 10:25

1 Corinthians 4:11-13

To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

Mark 10:21-22

"One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

At this the man's face fell.

He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

The whitewashes, the espionage and conspiracies going on in whichever facet of society at every conceivable level. For starters, think of the sexual abuse of children, perversions and cover-ups in Catholicism; sexual and financial scandals in many fundamentalist religious sectors like the old PTL; Jimmy Swaggart Ministries; Sun Myung Moon and others too numerous to mention here. Counterfeit evangelists asking followers for a 65 million dollar private jet; living the lavish lives of sheiks and kings; travelling the world renting $3500.00 a night penthouse suites day after day to preach the 'good news' to the 'poor'; the financial and sexual scandals in many other religions, governments, politics, business –whatever, whomever and wherever. Think Watergate, Iran-Contra Affair, Area 51, price fixing, lobby groups, crime syndicates and anything else that reeks of corruption and cloaking and, owing their very existence to fallacies; with lies and deceit being their lifeblood. Think! Considering the life, work and ministry of Jesus Christ, do you really believe those so-called Christian religious entities had/have the blessing of Christ, inspite of their boasts and claims? Time to read Matthew 7:21-28, and again that's just for starters. They thrive in the shadows and darkness and wither in the light. The point? Think! Should not the issues surrounding the above reveal something beyond centuries old societal excuses and turning a blind eye enabling the perpetrators? And as you think, consider this. Discern between the horrible actions committed in the name of a religion but are  actually violations of that religion and what it teaches. Distinguish between those and the horrible actions committed religions whereby the adherents are actually following the fundamental beliefs of the corresponding religion. Big difference. It’s something you may very well have to research and weigh carefully if you are indeed searching for truth.

Well, Jesus often said, ‘He who has ears to hear, let him hear’, Matthew 11:15; 13:9; 13:43; Mark 4:9; 4:23; 7:16; Luke 8:8; 14:35. He also said, ‘Therefore, consider carefully how you listen’. The latter is the key to understanding the former.

I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except by Me.  John 14:6

And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free—John 8:32

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me— John 14:6

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth—John 17:17

HAVE COME HERE ALSO

YOUR PLACE TOO!

This may come as a bit of a shock to many people as the prevailing theory is, that to be Christian, one needs to check one’s brains at the door, close both eye’s and without caution; thoughtlessly, irrationally, impetuously, impulsively stride and stumble down a path with feet shod with the gospel of blind faith, misstep by misstep, if not leaps and bounds. The irony is, that once the evidence is considered by honest hearts with an open mind (Ephesians 1:18-19), not only does Jesus Christ expect you to think, He demands it. He challenged his opponents to think. He demands it of His followers. Christ gave us a candid manuscript on Judaism and Christianity laying bare for all the world to see, the good and the bad of all the people therein, no exceptions. Christ is an open door. God gives us truth. Can we handle it? He defies mankind to dig deeper. Other systems and their leaders operate behind closed doors to the exclusion of their followers; banishes them to fringe areas or simply finds a way to silence those who dare to question. From the beginning to a nano-second ago. Compare biblical candor to any other counterpart. Liken Christ’s leadership to governance in and of any era. How many other headship’s core values, called in earnest for their leaders to lead from the ‘foot of the table’ as in John 13:3-17? Neither accident nor proxy. Compare the bar set by Jesus to those fixed by any man-made system that has ever been or is in existence today, secular or non-secular. Think!

gospel

Think! Talk about turning the world right side up, can you imagine how this must have been perceived in the midst of the Roman Empire and its persecution? People who may have lost family and/or friends and loved ones. How do you ‘think’ you would have responded to this? The    challenge of not just revisiting your way of thinking but totally revamping it, can be a tough mountain to climb. If people believe the world is upside down and want to turn it right side up– that’s one thing. For those who believe it’s already right side up– it’s another thing altogether.

Matthew 5:43-47,  "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,  that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?  And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
